Simply calling it a “car,” or perhaps “wagon,” just isn’t how BMW rolls. And today we’re getting more information on its curiously-titled Progressive Activity Sedan.
Called PAS for short, we expect the vehicle to be unveiled sometime this year. BMW has released a video of it, showing cartoonish sketches of the vehicle and its functions.
The main highlight from the video is a storage area in the back, and confirmation the vehicle will be slotted somewhere between a sedan and small ute in the company’s lineup, possibly in 2010.
“It’s really an explanation or an indication of some of the things that’s going on behind this vehicle,” BMW spokesman Tom Salkowsky said of the short clip.
A spy shooter illustration also from today shows the coupe-like roofline, and the PAS is expected to have room for four large seats and possibly tables. Look for all-wheel drive as an option.
A rumored name is “5 Series GT.”
