Citroën GT concept is poised for production, report says
The Citroën GT concept is making the leap from the virtual tracks of Gran Turismo 5 to real asphalt.

Citroën plans to build just six copies of the GT, and each one will be priced at a cool $1.8 million, according to Autocar.

One big question remains--what will be the mid-engine supercar’s powerplant? At its debut last fall at the Paris motor show, the concept was a set of electric motors making a combined 780 hp and was powered by a fuel cell.

Citroën sources say the engine will make more than 500 hp and could come from Ford or General Motors.

The concept’s sporty styling and extensive use of carbon fiber will be retained. It might even keep some of the unique touches, such as using copper on the interior trim.
