Hyundai Equus gets a stretched version in South Korea
In the luxury game, bigger is better. So it shouldn’t be a surprise that Hyundai has launched a stretched version of the Equus sedan in its home market.

It’s called the Equus limousine, and it gets an extra foot added to its wheelbase, stretching the car’s overall length to 215 inches for nearly 18 feet of luxury car.

Pulling this 4,700-pound cruiser around is a 5.0-liter V8 that makes nearly 400 hp. Not in a rush? The base engine is a 3.8-liter V6 cranking out about 280 hp.

Want one? In South Korea you’ll pay the equivalent of $113,000 to $122,180 to put one in the garage.

Now, here’s the big question--will this XXL Equus make it to the States? Hyundai Motor America says no comment.

Also interesting: Hyundai has built three bulletproof versions for the Blue House, South Korea’s presidential residence.
