The British sports-car maker updated the car with subtle styling and underskin improvements. The DB9 goes on sale in the United States this summer with a starting price of $188,965 for the coupe and $202,465 for the open-air Volante. Prices include destination and gas-guzzler charges.

The DB9 was redone with a new bumper, grille, reshaped lower air intake, new headlight bezels, sliver brake calipers and 20-spoke alloy wheels. Aston says the changes to the car are the most significant since its debut in 2003.

The car was fortified with an adaptive damping system, replacing the previous passive configuration. This new setup is said to enhance ride comfort while sharpening the car's reflexes while in sport mode. It's standard for both cars.

Other electronic goodies include an updated Bluetooth system and a new tire-pressure monitoring system. Production of the cars is under way.

Meanwhile, pricing was announced for the Nürburgring-inspired limited-run V8 Vantage to be shown at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance. The N420 coupe starts at $133,350, and the roadster starts at $146,350.
