Although the plans are kind of sketchy at this stage, this claimed-to-be Audi in-house catalogue – Ersatz Teile Katalog Audi (ETKA) – recently leaked onto the net sure is convincing.
The catalogue was published on German Audi website, www.qarsi.de, and clearly displays a number of ‘Audi TT RS Plus’ variants that are rated at 265kW. By the looks of it, the engine will remain as the same 2.5-litre, five-cylinder turbocharged unit as the standard TT RS.
Reports also say that the model could also be a special edition like the Audi R8 GT and come fitted with various lightweight parts, such as carbon fibre wings and panel trimmings. But that might be taking the dream a little too far.
Rumour has it the model is expected go on sale initially in European markets in May (as per the catalogue above; model year, right-hand column). We’ll have to wait and see to know for sure though. Stay tuned.
