Hybrid electric vehicles are widely studied recently and they are the most reliable alternatives to conventional automobiles because of their significant improvement in the field of fuel economy and emissions reduction. These vehicles are classified into three main types: series hybrid, parallel hybrid, and series-parallel or combined or power split vehicle. The latest type has considerable advantages to other types; however; its complexity is one of the most obstacles of its use. This project will propose a control strategy for combined Hybrid electric vehicle base on fuzzy rules. These rules will modify with genetic algorithm.
