A major part of this pollution is due to vehicles that are using fossil energies. This problem encourages people to use bicycle more than ever. Following hybrid and electric bicycles are now being developed and people tend to use these sort of vehicles more often in appropriate places.

In this project, we have tried to use hybrid technology , that is a simultaneous use of muscular and electrical energy to make bicycling more comfortable, especially in the cities like Tehran which has a lot of up and downhill trails. Therefore ,the power of leg muscles and a 250W electric motor are integrated with the aid of a planetary gearbox. This enables rider to use each of the power sources separately or combined.
